Position Summary 

We are in search of an experienced Kitchen Staff to ensure that the kitchen area of our supermarket is well-maintained and running efficiently. You will provide assistance with the preparation of food and are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of dishes, workstations, and food storage facilities.

A successful Kitchen Staff should be able to perform various duties and responsibilities.

Kitchen Staff Responsibilities:

• Cleaning all dishes, work stations, cooking equipment, and food storage areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
• receive, lift, handle and store food deliveries
• retrieve food items as requested by chefs
• assist with food preparation which includes sandwiches and salad
• wash dishes, pots and utensils
• ensure working areas are kept clear

Kitchen Staff Requirements:

• Ability to work fast, but in an efficient and controlled manner
• Ability to operate as a team member and get along with others
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to accept supervisory training related to performance, attitude, and work habits
• Ability to perform strenuous physical duties such as lifting, climbing, walking, and standing for long periods
• Good communication and people skills.
