About the Role:

The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for consistent, safe and quality production output of edible products. The Kitchen Supervisor leads the team in managing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with all state and company regulations and the highest levels of safety and cleanliness inside the kitchen area. How you'll make a difference:

  • Manages the kitchen work environment to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and quality of cannabis infused products to achieve the company's business objectives efficiently, compliantly, and safely.
  • Executes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for kitchen processes and equipment for our house of brands.
  • Drives innovation and continuous improvement to further enhance our house of brands.
  • Develops and maintains all product specification documents, recipes, formulas and food safety plans.
  • Trains, develops and evaluates the skills of the kitchen staff to enable end-to-end production.
  • Executes all QA/QC and analytical testing for quality, consistency and efficacy.
  • Audits inventory on an ongoing basis to ensure full compliance.
  • Execute a cleaning and maintenance schedule for the kitchen and kitchen equipment as required by procedures and manufacturer specs; ensuring no disruption to production.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Oversee digital tracking of ingredients to maintain compliance with the state
  • Preparation of kitchen-based samples for third-party testing
  • Additional tasks as assigned by your manager

Skills to be Successful:

Education and Experience

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Degree in Food Science - Preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience within commercial kitchen or food production environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience producing candies, chocolates and baked goods
  • Experience with cannabis or infusions - preferred

Computers and Technology

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficiency with inventory systems and office equipment

  • Exempt role with ability to work nights and weekends as necessary

Manufacturing environment that requires extended time standing, walking, bending and reaching. Ability to carry up to 50lbs for up to a distance of 100ft may be required. Occasional extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects. Ability to work in a humid and pollinated environment. On-site daily attendance is required.
