About the Role

Mfinite Consulting is seeking an experienced Kitchen Supervisor / Lead Cook to lead meal preparation, recipe adherence, and shift coordination for the dietary department at the New Hampshire Veterans Home. This role plays a direct part in the daily quality of life of honorably discharged veteran residents, including residents of NHVH's life-enhanced dementia unit. If you're a hands-on kitchen leader who takes pride in consistency, food safety, and mentoring a team, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, meal prep timelines, and shift coordination
• Ensure recipe adherence and consistent food quality and portioning
• Supervise cooks, food service workers, and dishwashing/cleaning staff during assigned shifts
• Uphold kitchen sanitation, food safety, and infection-prevention protocols consistent with CDC/OSHA guidelines
• Communicate staffing or supply issues promptly to the Mfinite site lead and NHVH dietary management
• Step into cook, prep, or service duties as needed to keep meal service running without interruption

What You'll Need

• Prior food service supervisory or lead cook experience required
• Ability to read recipes and follow written directions accurately
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push carts
• ServSafe certification strongly preferred
• Flexibility to work indoors and/or outdoors depending on event needs
• Reliable, on-time attendance, and ability to pass all pre-service screening

Before You Start: Screening & Compliance

Per NHVH contract requirements, all candidates must complete the following prior to their start date:

• Criminal background check (National Criminal Records Check or NH Release of Criminal Record Authorization)
• BEAS (Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services) State Registry check
• OIG Exclusion List screening (at hire, with monthly re-screening for the duration of the assignment)
• Annual Conviction Disclosure Attestation
• Fitness-for-duty attestation (free of known infectious disease), and physical/drug testing where applicable
• Review and attestation of NHVH policies and procedures (at hire and annually)
• Note: Former NHVH employees are not eligible for placement without prior NHVH approval
