Position Summary:

NOTE: THIS IS A NEWLY CREATED JOB DESCRIPTION AND IS SUBJECT TO REVIEW BEFORE FINAL POSTING. The Kitchen Systems and Fire Extinguisher Manager at Marmic Fire and Safety is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and compliance of kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers. This role ensures that kitchen systems are fully operational, meet safety standards, and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. The manager will lead a team of technicians, coordinate service schedules, and collaborate with clients to address their needs and ensure the highest standards of fire safety and system performance.

Core Responsibilities:

System Installation and Maintenance:

  • Supervise and coordinate the installation, inspection, and maintenance of kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers.
  • Ensure that all systems are compliant with relevant codes and standards, including NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) guidelines.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, train, and manage a team of technicians, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Schedule and delegate tasks to ensure timely and efficient service delivery and maintain high levels of team performance.

Client Relations and Service Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguisher services, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Coordinate service schedules and ensure that all client needs are met promptly and professionally.

Compliance and Safety Oversight:

  • Ensure all work performed adheres to safety regulations and industry standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to verify compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes to fire safety regulations and implement necessary updates to systems and procedures.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of system installations, inspections, maintenance activities, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare and present reports on system performance, service activities, and compliance status to management.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguisher services.
  • Implement best practices and process improvements to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and local fire safety regulations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant fire safety and inspection software, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Fire Protection Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Kitchen Fire Suppression System Technician) are a plus.

Pay Range: Min: USD $90,000.00/Yr., Max: USD $105,000.00/Yr.
