Job Description

Kitchen Team Member – Full-Time & Part-Time

Chick-fil-A The Shoppes at Bartlett is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Kitchen team.

Our Kitchen Team Members work behind the scenes to prepare quality food, maintain a clean and safe kitchen, and keep orders moving throughout the day. It's a fast-paced, hands-on position where teamwork, consistency, and attention to detail matter.

We offer full-time and part-time opportunities, with a variety of schedules based on availability and restaurant needs. No previous restaurant experience is required—we'll provide the training you need to learn your position and succeed.

What It's Like to Work in Our Kitchen

Our kitchen is built around teamwork. Throughout a shift, Team Members work together to prepare food, maintain product levels, keep stations clean, and make sure our Front of House team has what they need to serve our guests.

Depending on your training and assigned position, you may:

  • Prepare and assemble menu items according to Chick-fil-A standards
  • Bread chicken by hand and prepare products for cooking
  • Operate grills, pressure fryers, open fryers, and other kitchen equipment after completing required training
  • Follow established recipes, cooking procedures, portion sizes, and quality standards
  • Read order screens and prepare products accurately
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and product levels throughout the shift
  • Complete temperature checks and follow food-safety procedures
  • Restock ingredients, packaging, and kitchen supplies
  • Maintain clean and organized food-preparation areas
  • Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment
  • Sweep, mop, remove trash, and complete sanitation responsibilities
  • Receive deliveries and properly organize products in designated storage areas
  • Communicate with Kitchen and Front of House Team Members to support accurate and efficient service
  • Move between kitchen positions as needed to support the team

What Makes a Strong Kitchen Team Member

You don't need previous restaurant experience to be successful here. We're looking for people who are willing to learn, work hard, and contribute to the team.

Strong Kitchen Team Members:

  • Show up on time and ready to work
  • Stay productive and look for what needs to be done
  • Work with urgency without sacrificing food quality or safety
  • Pay attention to details
  • Follow recipes and procedures consistently
  • Keep their work areas clean and organized
  • Communicate clearly with teammates and leaders
  • Remain focused during busy periods
  • Accept coaching and apply feedback
  • Take responsibility for mistakes and work to improve
  • Step in to help teammates when needed
  • Treat others with respect
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude
  • Follow restaurant policies, procedures, and safety expectations

Quality, Safety & Consistency

Every Kitchen Team Member has a role in protecting the quality of the food we serve.

That means following established procedures for food preparation, cooking, holding, sanitation, and equipment use. Team Members are expected to pay attention to temperatures, portions, freshness, cleanliness, and other quality standards throughout their shifts.

We want our team to work efficiently, but doing it correctly and safely matters just as much as doing it quickly.

Learn More Than One Position

Kitchen Team Members aren't limited to learning a single station.

As you become comfortable in your role and demonstrate strong performance, you'll have opportunities to become trained in additional areas of the kitchen. Cross-training helps you understand how different positions work together and gives you more ways to support your team.
