Kitter / Assembly Support Technician (Temp-to-Hire)

Position Summary
Our client is a distributor of kits used in the drug research industry and is seeking a detail-oriented Kitter / Assembly Support Technician. This temp-to-hire role supports the assembly, labeling, and packaging of research kits while also assisting with daily laboratory housekeeping duties, primarily dishwashing and glassware handling. The position follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a clean, regulated environment.

Typical Daily Schedule
While task length may vary and additional duties may be assigned, the role generally follows a 5-day, 8-hour schedule with two paid 10-minute breaks and up to a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

 • Clean and store laboratory glassware

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Schedule assumes a 1-hour unpaid lunch and two 10-minute breaks

2:00 – 3:00 PM

 Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and sub-assemble kits and components according to SOPs
  • Punch and remove foam inserts and accurately fill kits
  • Label, package, and prepare finished products for shipment
  • Print and apply shipping labels
  • Assist with proper storage of raw materials, including sealing materials in airtight containers
  • Accurately count products to maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Perform regular cleaning and storage of laboratory glassware
  • Stock general laboratory consumables and supplies
  • Assist with rework or kit updates due to documentation changes or product revisions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly and support processes when appropriate
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2+ years of experience in an assembly, production, or process-driven environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
  • Prior knowledge of production and assembly processes
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to receive feedback and adapt to process improvements
