Description
Kitting Technician – Day Shift
Position Summary
The Kitting Technician fabricates and assembles plastic sheeting products by performing various manufacturing and assembly duties in a warehouse production environment.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures. Must be able to understand and act on verbal instructions in English.
Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including fractions and decimals. Must accurately use measuring tools (e.g., rulers, tape measures).
Reasoning Ability: Able to follow written, oral, and diagram instructions. Capable of problem-solving in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling (4–6 hours per day)
Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs
Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, and crawl as needed
Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as focus adjustment
Work Environment & Requirements
Warehouse environment: cool in winter, warm in summer
Possible light water spray used to hydrate products in the kitting area
Attendance points system in place
Steel-toe shoes required (not provided)
Safety vest, glasses, hairnet, and beard net (if needed) provided
No jewelry permitted (FOD – Foreign Object Debris compliance)
Lockers available (bring your own lock if desired)
Dress code: long pants required (no holes or frayed edges, non-see-through athletic pants acceptable); no inappropriate or revealing clothing
