    Description

    We are seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist in Ft. Meade, MD. to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise knowledge management initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting knowledge sharing, collaboration, information accessibility, and organizational learning across mission-critical programs.

    This position works closely with leadership, technical teams, operational personnel, and external stakeholders to identify, capture, organize, and disseminate information that enhances mission effectiveness, operational efficiency, and decision-making.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and maintain knowledge management processes, procedures, and best practices.
    • Facilitate knowledge building, knowledge sharing, and organizational learning initiatives.
    • Coordinate efforts to integrate knowledge management into core business operations, projects, and strategic initiatives.
    • Build partnerships across organizational components to identify, capture, and share information critical to mission success.
    • Promote the use of collaboration and knowledge-sharing tools to improve communication and information exchange among internal and external stakeholders.
    • Organize, maintain, and enhance knowledge repositories, document libraries, lessons learned databases, and collaboration platforms.
    • Integrate information from multiple departments and functional areas to improve accessibility, usability, and dissemination of organizational knowledge.
    • Develop and maintain written knowledge products, standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, playbooks, and other documentation.
    • Train and educate users on knowledge management tools, processes, and best practices.
    • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to leverage organizational knowledge and lessons learned.
    • Ensure information is properly categorized, maintained, and accessible in accordance with organizational policies and requirements.

    Required Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Knowledge Management, Information Management, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, Library Science, Communications, Organizational Development, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
    • Four (4) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

    Experience

    • Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting knowledge management, information sharing, collaboration initiatives, organizational learning programs, or related activities.

    Required Skills and Experience

    • Experience with knowledge building, knowledge sharing, and knowledge management methodologies.
    • Experience integrating knowledge management practices into organizational operations and projects.
    • Experience building partnerships and facilitating collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
    • Experience promoting and administering collaboration platforms and knowledge-sharing tools.
    • Experience integrating information from multiple departments and functions to support organizational objectives.
    • Experience developing, organizing, and maintaining knowledge repositories and information management systems.
    • Experience training users on knowledge management processes, tools, and best practices.
    • Strong technical writing, editing, and documentation skills.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
    • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting Federal Government, Department of Defense, or Intelligence Community programs.
    • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Teams, Confluence, ServiceNow Knowledge Management, or similar collaboration platforms.
    • Experience supporting organizational change management, business process improvement, or digital transformation initiatives.
    • Familiarity with records management, information governance, and data management principles.
