Knowledge Manager

Overview: Are you a document ninja looking for an opportunity to train as an executive? Are you a stickler for grammar and precise language? Do you want to study personal finance? Do you dream of waging a just war against bureaucracy? This may be the job for you.

The Knowledge Manager will investigate problems relating to finance, insurance, and real estate. All three of these fields revolve around documents. We will collaborate to design systems to manage these documents. This position includes an executive training component and opportunities for advancement. It will require focused mental effort.

Qualifications: We seek candidates with strong linguistic skills, who are hungry to learn. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, computers, printers, etc. You must be organized, you must have a growth mindset, and you must seek constructive feedback. A college degree is required (unless you’re very competent, in which case we don’t care whether or not you have a degree). Prior experience in finance, law, real estate, insurance, or academia would be ideal. Candidates will undergo a background check, a credit inquiry, and a drug test.

Key Responsibilities: Create simple and effective systems to manage documents at my home office. Define and prioritize knowledge management tasks in support of long-term objectives. Diagnose obstacles within bureaucratic systems (mortgage banking, credit bureaus, property taxes, health insurance, etc.). Hold yourself to a high standard of logical and linguistic rigor.
