    Description

    Redwire is a company dedicated to pushing the limits of space and defense technologies, providing scientific breakthroughs and advanced solutions that serve global industries and security needs.We are looking for a Knowledge Manager to develop and strengthen the enterprise knowledge architecture, improving documentation, SharePoint usability, and overall information management across the organization.This onsite role is located in Chantilly, Virginia.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with IT and functional leaders to assess existing taxonomy, metadata labeling, and content structures on enterprise platforms and recommend improvements that increase alignment and clarity.Support enterprise data labeling and metadata consistency by reinforcing standards and promoting disciplined classification practices.Drive the strategic enhancement and optimization of SharePoint architecture, refining site structure, document libraries, navigation, and search functionality while ensuring scalability and governance alignment.Improve enterprise documentation practices through better organization, version control, and lifecycle management processes.Collaborate with the Vice President of Operational Excellence to refine the corporate policy and procedure framework, boosting clarity and usability.Reduce duplication and fragmentation by establishing and maintaining authoritative content repositories.Work with subject matter experts across functional areas to organize and structure critical documentation.Promote adoption of standardized documentation and information management practices across business segments.Ideal ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Information Management, Data Management, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, or a related field.Five or more years of experience in knowledge management, information architecture, enterprise documentation governance, or content management.Proven experience improving SharePoint structure and usability.Experience collaborating with IT on taxonomy alignment, metadata practices, or enterprise information architecture initiatives.Experience working within structured governance environments.Ability to drive standardization across distributed or multi‑site organizations.Strong understanding of document lifecycle management and access controls.Prior experience in aerospace, defense, engineering, or other regulated industries is preferred.U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance may be necessary.Desired SkillsEnterprise mindset and strong systems thinking.Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the capacity to influence without direct authority.Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.Excellent written communication and documentation skills.Excellent change management and leadership abilities.High standard for confidentiality and information integrity.Equal Opportunity EmploymentRedwire is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with Redwire is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or mental or physical disability.Background and EligibilityAll offers of employment at Redwire are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check and the ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
