KO722 - Full-Time Spanish Speaking Housekeeper - Brooklyn, NY

Overview:

A busy, active Brooklyn household of four is seeking a seasoned housekeeper to join its team. The home has two children, both of whom have nannies. The role will be 4 or 5 days a week and will include one weekend day.  This home has a rooftop garden, and you will be responsible for it as well.  The family is looking for a fluent Spanish Speaker. 

Responsibilities:

Daily and weekly responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

• Proactive ownership of cleaning the home- the homeowner wants someone who can take responsibility for creating and maintaining a cleaning schedule. They do not want to micromanage day-to-day tasks.
  • Examples include routine deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., kitchen deep cleans, window screen cleaning, seasonal maintenance).
• The expectation is that the housekeeper notices what needs attention and plans accordingly.
• Laundry and household management
  • Laundry is a significant part of the role, including family laundry, folding and organizing, dry-cleaning logistics (drop-off/pick-up, and scheduling)
• Outdoor space maintenance- rooftop garden 
• Oversee inventory 
• Making beds 
• General tidying up in common areas 
• Keep the kitchen tidy, including loading and unloading the dishwasher and taking out the trash
• Maintaining organization/figuring out new systems when needed 
• Coordinate effectively with vendors, staff, and principals within a busy family environment 

Qualifications:

• Self-directed and proactive
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Experienced with household systems and schedules
• Comfortable working in a staffed household
• Strong communicator
  
  

Requirements:

• Able to handle both housekeeping and light household-management responsibilities
• Experienced with laundry and garment care
• The housekeeper must be comfortable working around other household staff and family members.
• Good communication skills are important for coordinating schedules and tasks.

Salary and Benefits:

• DOE pay ranges from $40-50 per hour
