Overview Location: Los AngelesThe Los Angeles office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking a Korean-speaking Labor and Employment Staff Attorney to support its growing practice. This role is ideal for an attorney interested in developing practical experience in employment litigation support and day-to-day advice and counseling matters, with a particular focus on serving Korean-speaking clients.Responsibilities Support attorneys in representing employers in employment-related disputes, with a focus on high-volume litigation supportManage and execute discovery, including drafting and responding to document requests, interrogatories, and subpoenasConduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, and motion draftsAssist with case management, fact development, and document reviewSupport employment advice and counseling matters, including providing day-to-day HR guidance to clientsDraft, review, and update employee handbooks, policies, and workplace documentsTranslate and adapt employment policies and legal materials for Korean-speaking clients, ensuring compliance with U.S. and California lawCommunicate directly with Korean-speaking clients on employment-related mattersCollaborate with attorneys and team members across officesRequired Qualifications Fluency in Korean required (reading, writing, and speaking)2+ years of experience in labor and employment or general litigation (law firm experience preferred)Demonstrated experience or strong interest in employment advice and counseling and/or employee handbook draftingStrong experience with litigation support, particularly discovery and written work productExcellent legal writing, research, and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments efficientlyAdmission to the California BarIdeal Candidates Will Have experience supporting employment litigation on behalf of employersHave experience drafting or reviewing employee handbooks or HR policiesBe interested in a non-partnership-track, high-impact support role within a busy practiceDemonstrate strong communication skills, particularly in working with Korean-speaking clientsThrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentRecruiting Notice We will not consider resumes submitted by external agencies or recruiters for this position.
