Pay Range: $62 - $70/hour.  Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build production backend services in Kotlin and Java
• Develop scalable REST and GraphQL APIs
• Build and evolve the Mobile Service Layer / Backend for Frontend (BFF)
• Support high-volume, low-latency services used by mobile applications
• Modernize legacy services and help introduce Kotlin into newer services
• Write clean, maintainable, tested code
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability and performance
• Collaborate with mobile engineers, architects, QA, DevOps, and product teams
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and CI/CD practices

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Strong production experience with Kotlin
• Strong backend development experience with Java
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Experience building REST APIs
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with microservices
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing
• Strong debugging, refactoring, and production support skills
• Ability to work in a large-scale, enterprise environmen
• Backend for Frontend (BFF) architecture
• Mobile API platform experience
• Kafka or event-driven systems
• AWS or cloud-native deployment experience
• Modern Java features and code modernization work
• Experience supporting consumer-facing applications at scale
