    The KPO program is based on a spirit of continuous improvement. The purpose of this program is to continuously improve jobs and workstations to be safer, more ergonomic and more efficient. Small improvements are emphasized in order to make changes easier to implement quickly. Improvements take place prior to, during and after implementation of a change. The program operates around the idea that “nothing is perfect, everything can be improved.” Individuals in this program must display a high level of confidence, creativity, flexibility, initiative and interpersonal skills to support a ONE team mindset and culture. The success of the program requires ongoing partnership and collaboration across all cross-functions.

    How You'll Create Possibilities


    _Job/Workstation Improvement:_


    + _Work with Operations team (Team Leaders, Supervisors/ Etc.) to identify opportunities for improvement_

    + _Ability to study jobs looking for waste and other chances to make improvements_

    + _Work with operators to uncover what they struggle with and use their feedback to ensure improvements are effective_

    + _Build flow racks and workstations using creaform-like materials as well as wood, etc._

    + _Use Standard Work to validate and document improvements_

    + _Create Job Instructions based off Standard Work for training of operators, etc._


    _Flow Rack/Workstation Maintenance:_


    + _Periodically audit flow racks and workstations for repairs or replacement_

    + _Repair or replace as needed_


    _Other Responsibilities:_


    + _Able to successfully train new and existing operators as needed_

    + _Maintain orderly work area_


    + _Maintain orderly Standard Work records_


    Minimum Qualifications:


    + _Ability to perform critical analysis even on one’s own work_

    + _Interpersonal skills_

    + _Takes initiative without needing strict over-sight_

    + _Customer Focus - those we serve (operators, team leaders, etc.) are our customers_

    + _Open to Feedback – growth takes place while learning, even from mistakes_

    + _Mechanical aptitude_


    + _Ability to take measurements, use hand and power tools, etc._

    + _Problem solving – desire to discover and improve root cause_

    + _Creativity – thinks outside of the box_

    + _Positive attitude_

    + _Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to listen_

    + _Ability to understand and carryout detailed oral or written instructions_

    + _Exceptional work ethic and uses time productively_

    + _Prompt, consistent attendance_

    + _Team oriented and works collaboratively to achieve team goals_

    + _High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution_

    + Basic Mechanical (120 hrs.), Welding, Electrical and Robotics (40 hrs.)

    + The ability to be a good student and maintain a passing grade (preferably C average or greater) with Central Carolina Technical College (CCTEC) and any additional training which may qualify. Failure to pass required training could and/or would result in immediate disqualification.


    What You'll Bring to Our Team


    Preferred Qualifications:


    + _Prior manufacturing production experience preferred_


    + _Prior knowledge of lean manufacturing practices_

    + _Prior experience building with creaform_

    + _Organizational and project management skills_


    Working Conditions:


    + _Must be able to stand, sit, bend, lift, and walk up to 10hrs per day, heavy lifting required (in excess of 25lbs.)_

    + _Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation, including, but not limited to: Frequently handle various parts for assembly; frequent bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, crouching, squatting, walking, pushing/pulling, grasping, squeezing, manual dexterity, and standing for long periods of time_

    + _Must be able to work in both climate and non-climate-controlled environment_

    + _Ability to change shifts and work overtime as required (Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as required)_
