Maintenance Mechanic Opportunity in Hicksville, NY

Join our team in Hicksville, NY, where you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment. This is a full-time position with a schedule from 1pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends. Be part of a dynamic work environment where your skills will be valued and developed.

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of skilled maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks on facilities and manufacturing equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively with all team members.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and determine the extent of repairs or adjustments needed for equipment.
• Maintain, adjust, repair, rebuild, and overhaul equipment.
• Enter repair orders and keep maintenance records in an automated system.
• Organize, clean, and maintain the workshop area.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand maintenance and specification manuals.
• Physical dexterity to perform preventive maintenance on complex equipment.
• Standing for the entire shift and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Working in hot/cold temperatures, around moving equipment, and in a noisy production environment.
• Fluency in English or Spanish, both spoken and written.
• Steel-toed shoes are mandatory for safety.

Preferences

• Familiarity with hands and power tools.
• Capability to prepare work orders and records of service performed.
• Experience working with a manlift, operating machines, using a respirator, and working in confined spaces.
