Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute migration of containerized workloads from ClearDATA to Horizon Landing Zone (LZ).
• Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and support applications running on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
• Work closely with:
  • Application teams.
  • Infrastructure teams.
  • Delivery teams.
  • Technical stakeholders.
• Plan and execute containerized application migrations across environments.
• Analyze existing containerized applications and recommend appropriate migration strategies.
• Perform OpenShift cluster administration and operational support activities.
• Manage application deployments using Kubernetes/OpenShift objects, including:
  • Deployments.
  • StatefulSets.
  • Services.
  • Routes.
  • ConfigMaps.
  • Secrets.
  • Persistent Volumes (PVs).
• Troubleshoot platform, application, networking, and container-related issues during migration activities.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational best practices.
• Document migration activities, technical procedures, and operational handover requirements.
• Independently drive assigned technical tasks with minimal supervision.
• Provide regular status updates to project leadership.
• Support successful transition of migrated applications into operational environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of overall IT experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Kubernetes/OpenShift Administration and Operations.
• Strong practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
• Expertise in container technologies, including:
  • Docker.
  • Podman.
  • Kubernetes.
• Experience migrating containerized applications across environments or cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of:
  • OpenShift architecture.
  • OpenShift cluster operations.
  • Workload management.
  • Container troubleshooting.
• Experience with container networking and ingress.
• Experience with OpenShift Routes.
• Experience with storage classes and Persistent Volumes.
• Knowledge of container and OpenShift security policies.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Ability to independently coordinate with multiple technical teams and stakeholders.

Migration & Operations

• Assess existing containerized workloads and dependencies before migration.
• Develop migration approaches for applications moving from ClearDATA to Horizon LZ.
• Coordinate application readiness and migration activities with technical teams.
• Validate application functionality after migration.
• Troubleshoot deployment, connectivity, storage, and configuration issues.
• Support OpenShift environments throughout migration and post-migration activities.
• Maintain operational readiness and ensure successful handover to support teams.
