    Minimum 10 Years of Platform Engineering / Infrastructure Engineering Experience Required

    OVERVIEW

    We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Platform Engineer to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on transforming mission-critical voice services into cloud-native environments.

    In this role, you will design, deploy, automate, and operationalize Kubernetes-based infrastructure supporting highly available, low-latency voice applications. You'll work across platform engineering, automation, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and production support while helping migrate legacy VM-based services into scalable Kubernetes environments.

    This is a senior-level platform engineering role requiring deep Kubernetes administration expertise, hands-on Ansible development experience, and extensive production infrastructure experience.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Assess existing voice applications, infrastructure dependencies, and deployment environments

    Design Kubernetes architectures for high-availability and low-latency workloads

    Containerize middleware and backend applications

    Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment

    Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible

    Deploy and support cloud-native platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, and OpenShift environments

    Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions

    Support migration planning, testing, validation, and production cutovers

    Troubleshoot application, platform, and infrastructure issues

    Develop operational documentation and knowledge transfer materials

    Partner with development, operations, and architecture teams to modernize legacy services

    Support production environments and incident response activities as needed

    NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum 10 years of hands-on platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience

    Expert-level Kubernetes platform administration experience

    Strong hands-on Ansible role and playbook development experience

    Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code experience

    CI/CD pipeline development and automation experience

    Production cloud platform administration experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack)

    Must currently reside within commuting distance of Philadelphia, PA

    Must be able to work onsite 1–2 days per week

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Kubernetes Expertise

    Expert-level Kubernetes cluster administration including:

    • Cluster lifecycle management
    • Version upgrades
    • Cluster patching
    • Node management and scaling
    • Multi-cluster operations
    • Production incident troubleshooting
    • Performance tuning
    • High-availability production environments

    This role requires platform-level Kubernetes administration experience, not application deployment or container deployment experience.

    Ansible Expertise

    Strong hands-on Ansible experience required, including:

    • Writing Ansible roles from scratch
    • Developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks
    • Infrastructure automation
    • Configuration management
    • Operational automation workflows

    Additional Technical Requirements

    CI/CD pipeline development and automation experience

    Cloud platform administration:

    • AWS
    • Azure
    • GCP
    • OpenStack

    Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform

    Experience with monitoring, logging, dashboarding, and alerting platforms

    Python scripting or programming experience

    Production application support and operational troubleshooting

    Strong understanding of highly available and low-latency application architectures

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Red Hat OpenShift experience

    GitOps experience

    AI/ML platform exposure

    AI-assisted operations tooling experience

    Telecom or voice application experience

    SIP, SBC, IMS, or voice middleware experience

    Experience supporting cloud-native migrations from VM-based environments

    Experience with:

    • Prometheus
    • Grafana
    • ELK
    • Splunk
    • Datadog

    COMPENSATION

    $65.00 per hour (W-2)
