Position Title: KVCC Business Administration Adjunct Instructor

Salary Range: Salary and benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the Maine Community College System and the MSEA Adjunct Faculty Bargaining Unit.

Responsibilities:

Required to teach both in-person and online classes. Possible fall classes include:

  • BUS 101 Principles of Business
  • BUS 218 Small Business Entrepreneurship
  • CPT 115 Technology for Business
  • ECO 132 Personal Finance and Investing

In-person courses require daytime availability; online courses require some virtual meetings in the evenings. The successful candidates will be available for both modalities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MBA or MS in related field required
  • MOS certification preferred for CPT 115.
  • 3-5 years teaching experience preferred,
  • 3-5 years relevant industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Brightspace learning management system (LMS) desired

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience teaching in a community college setting or with adult/non-traditional students
  • Strong written, verbal, and technological skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams, for ALL courses
  • Ability to teach effectively across in-person and online modalities using instructional approaches that support students with varied backgrounds and learning preferences
