Organization Information Somerset School District, established in 1888, embraces its rich heritage of "Tradition of Excellence and Beyond" by continuing to move forward in its choices and decisions about what is best for students. In fact, all schools in the district are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools. We are recognized as a leader in preparing students for life beyond public school. Our school community distinguish themselves by earning awards and winning competitions at the district, regional and state level. Our educators serve on advisory boards, task forces, and committees at the community, regional, and state levels. We strive to offer a strong foundation of academic studies and a successful transition into adulthood. Our ultimate goal is that our students will stregthen their community as a result of their Somerset Independent School experience.
