L2 General Service Worker I - Solid Waste

ATA Services, Inc. is currently seeking to hire General Service Workers to help maintain City facilities, grounds, parking areas, parks, and public spaces.

This hands-on position performs a variety of custodial, maintenance, construction, event support, and groundskeeping duties while providing excellent customer service to the public.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Mandate Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of general maintenance, custodial, groundskeeping, construction, or repair experience preferred.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• General building maintenance, custodial work, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and minor electrical repairs.
• Grounds and athletic field maintenance practices.
• Safe operation of maintenance equipment, tools, forklifts, and vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Working Conditions:

This position involves both indoor and outdoor work and may include exposure to dust, noise, fumes, grease, weather conditions, and maintenance equipment. Duties require frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and performing moderate to heavy physical work.
