Build More Than Just a Career. Build Your Future.

At Vailexa, we're not just hiring — we're building thinkers, creators, and future leaders.

We believe in giving people the space to grow, the freedom to think, and the opportunity to create real impact from day one. If you're someone who wants to learn fast, take ownership, and grow beyond limits, you'll feel right at home here.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician (L3) to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of large-scale, high-performance data center infrastructure for our customer. This role requires advanced technical expertise in server hardware, networking, cabling, and data center operations. The ideal candidate is a self-driven problem solver who can independently execute complex tasks, mentor junior technicians, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and decommission enterprise server, storage, and network hardware.
    • Perform advanced rack and stack activities, including rail installation, structured cabling, power distribution, and hardware integration.
    • Diagnose and resolve hardware failures involving servers, GPUs, storage systems, networking equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
    • Execute firmware updates, BIOS configuration changes, hardware replacements, and system validation.
    • Support large-scale hardware deployments, refreshes, migrations, and expansion projects.
    • Perform root cause analysis on infrastructure issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Monitor data center health, environmental conditions, and equipment status using DCIM and monitoring tools.
    • Follow established operational procedures, change management processes, and documentation standards.
    • Collaborate with engineering, operations, networking, facilities, logistics, and vendor teams to resolve complex technical issues.
    • Mentor L1 and L2 technicians by providing technical guidance, training, and escalation support.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards, ESD procedures, security policies, and operational best practices.
    • Participate in on-call rotations and support maintenance windows outside of standard business hours when required.

    Required Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise or hyperscale data center environments.
    • Strong knowledge of x86 server architecture, GPU-based systems, storage platforms, and enterprise networking equipment.
    • Experience with rack and stack deployments.
    • Experience with structured copper and fiber cabling.
    • Experience with server diagnostics and hardware repair.
    • Experience with power distribution systems (PDUs).
    • Experience with remote management tools (iLO, iDRAC, IPMI, Redfish).
    • Understanding of Layer 1 and basic Layer 2 networking concepts.
    • Experience reading rack elevations, network diagrams, cable matrices, and technical documentation.
    • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and basic command-line troubleshooting.
    • Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ITSM platforms.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
