L3 MSP Engineer

Midnight Blue Technology Services is looking for an experienced L3 MSP Engineer to join our growing Pittsburgh team. This is a hands-on senior-level role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working directly with clients, leading technical projects, and taking ownership of challenging environments. You’ll work across a variety of businesses, networks, systems, and projects.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot complex network, infrastructure, security, and systems issues
• Perform root cause analysis and develop long-term solutions
• Serve as an escalation point for challenging technical issues
• Design, implement, and support network and infrastructure solutions
• Lead or support projects including cloud migrations and technology upgrades
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN environments
• Work with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies
• Provide technical recommendations based on client needs
• Work directly with clients to understand challenges and explain solutions
• Assist with project scoping, estimating, and documentation
• Partner with account management and sales teams on technical opportunities

Technical Experience We're Looking For

• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VPN
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V
• Cloud: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Security: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, EDR, MDM
• Cloud Migrations: Cloud and hybrid infrastructure
• Microsoft: Microsoft 365 and SharePoint

You don’t need to be an expert in everything listed, but you should have the depth to learn quickly, troubleshoot independently, and take ownership of complex environments.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in an MSP or multi-client IT environment
• Senior-level experience as a Systems, Network, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar
• Strong networking and infrastructure knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently
• Experience designing or implementing technical solutions
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients
• Comfortable managing multiple projects, priorities, and environments
• Proactive mindset with strong ownership
