We are seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Systems Engineer to join our growing Managed Services team. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment and brings deep experience across Microsoft cloud technologies, Azure infrastructure, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) migrations.

This engineer will serve as a technical escalation point while also leading and supporting complex infrastructure and cloud projects across multiple client environments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication, ownership, and a client-first mindset.

This is not a "ticket-only” role. We're looking for someone who can:
  • Solve complex technical issues
  • Design scalable solutions
  • Lead cloud initiatives

Key Responsibilities
Advanced Technical Support & Escalation
  • Serve as a Level 3 escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Troubleshoot advanced server, networking, virtualization, and cloud-related incidents
  • Support both reactive service desk operations and proactive project work
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions

Technical Requirements
5+ years of IT engineering experience
MSP experience strongly preferred

Strong experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
  • Microsoft 365
  • Windows Server environments
  • VMware and/or Hyper-V
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching)

Experience with:
  • Entra ID / Azure AD
  • Intune
  • Conditional Access
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions

Soft Skills & Core Competencies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and ownership
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft certifications (Azure, M365, Security)
  • Experience with:
  • SonicWall, Fortinet, Meraki, or similar firewalls
  • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Security and compliance frameworks
  • RMM and PSA platforms (ConnectWise, Autotask, NinjaOne, etc.)
