Equipment Operator (Cherry Picker) – Multiple Shifts

Location: La Vergne, TN

Agency: Abacus Corporation – Smyrna Branch

Pay:$17.00 – $20.00/hr (Depending on shift)

Shift Availability:

  • 1st Shift: 8:00 AM – Finish | $17.00/hr

  • 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM or 6:00 PM – Finish | $20.00/hr

  • Important: This facility has a set start time, but NO set end time. You must be prepared to stay until the daily orders are completed (Mandatory Daily OT).

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking serious, independent Equipment Operators to manage medical supply distribution at NDC. This is a high-responsibility role in a Bilingual-friendly environment—there is NO language barrier, and we welcome Spanish-speaking candidates!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solo Picking: You will work independently to pull orders using a Cherry Picker (Order Picker).

  • Smart Stacking: You must palletize products manually, starting with heavy items on the bottom and light items on the top to ensure safe transit.

  • Production Commitment: This role is for candidates with no time restrictions who are dedicated to staying until the job is finished.

THE "ONE-SHOT" INTERVIEW PROCESS

NDC has a very strict "No Second Chances" policy. To be considered, you must follow this exact sequence:

  1. Full Clearance: You must be 100% completed in our system (Apply, Onboarding, and Vetting).

  2. In-Office Prep: Visit our Smyrna office for a Drug Screen and safety evaluation before an interview is scheduled.

  3. The Client Interview:

    • Flexible Interview Times: Interviews are held either in the Morning (as early as 10:00 AM) or late in the Evening (7:00 PM or later).

    • Arrive 5 minutes early and call the supervisor for door access.

    • The Evaluation: A facility walk-through followed by a mandatory "Drive Test" on the Cherry Picker.

    • Warning: If you fail to show up or are late, you will not be given a second chance.

STRICT ATTENDANCE & CONDUCT

  • First 90 Days: Zero call-outs or absences permitted.

  • Communication: Any tardiness must be communicated immediately to both the site supervisor and Abacus.

  • Reliability: This facility needs professionals who are ready to work hard until the final order is out the door.
