Position Summary
Laboratory Aides assist technicians and pathologists in a hospital clinical laboratory, a medical research laboratory, or in a morgue by performing a variety of semi-skilled routine tasks and/or clerical duties under direction to assist medical staff in making or confirming diagnosis to assist research staff in their work.
Duties of a Laboratory Aide may include the following but are not limited to:
Qualifications
Required No minimum education or experience requirements.
Preferred High School Diploma Medical Terminology and prior hospital lab experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Anticipated Pay Range
The salary range or hiring range for this position is $36,232 per year, pro-rated by part-time hours. The above salary range represents SBUHs good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidates validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired.
