Description: CH2O, Inc. is looking for a Lab Analyst 2. The Lab Analyst 2 performs various functions to ensure that products meet required quality standards. This position requires intermediate understanding of lab protocol and safety techniques. The primary responsibilities of this role are: analytical testing of samples, manufacture of analytical reagents, and quality control testing of products.
Responsibilities:
- Trained in and able to perform Lab Analyst 1 duties.
- Safely handle and work with chemicals, many of which are hazardous.
- Prepare analytical reagents in accordance with work instructions and bill of materials.
- Perform customer service/order entry duties in ERP software for lab items
- Perform routine quality control, water sample, and deposit analysis.
- Routinely calibrate and use analytical instrumentation.
- Maintain pertinent ISO, quality, and ERP system records.
- Effectively communicate.
- Perform basic waste testing and management.
- Ensure that safety standards and cleanliness of laboratory are maintained and perform general housekeeping and upkeep.
- Perform various water treatment sample tests and processing of outsourced water treatment samples.
- Assist in processing and shipping customer orders.
- Assist in maintaining and shipping customer orders.
- Assist in maintaining stock levels of packaging raw materials in the lab.
- Perform all duties and tasks in accordance with ISO 9001 and CH2O Quality Plan.
- Assist in identifying and troubleshooting lab equipment problems.
Requirements:

- Willing and able to learn through observation and hands on experience.
- Intermediate algebra, chemistry and computer skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Detail oriented and able to follow directions.
- Able to distinguish color and odor.
- Able to lift 30 pounds on an infrequent basis.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirators, safety glasses, lab coats, and safety shoes.
- Must have requisite technical skills required to perform job effectively
