Environmental Laboratory Technician
Seeking an Environmental Laboratory Technician to support wastewater and environmental sample analysis in a laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience handling environmental samples, and the ability to workboth independently and within a team environment. Pay: $20.00- $25.00 per hour DOE
Responsibilities
- Analyze wastewater and solid samples using standard laboratory procedures.
- Perform testing including TSS, Fecal Coliform, Ammonia, pH, and BOD.
- Collect and handle environmental and air samples following chain of custody procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Use microscopes to identify bacteria in wastewater samples.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and data entry in LIMS.
- Support data validation and standard operating procedure updates.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Assist with industrial pretreatment sampling as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred.
- Experience analyzing environmental samples preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and sample handling procedures preferred.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
