Lab Animal Care Technician - Contract-to-Hire

We are hiring motivated and dependable individuals for a Lab Animal Care Technician role in Greenfield, IN. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering stable hours and long-term career potential in an animal care and breeding environment.

Schedule

• Typical hours: approximately 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Weekend and holiday rotations are required

Responsibilities

• Provide daily animal care within a breeding facility
• Clean and sanitize cages, floors, and equipment
• Perform heavy cleaning duties including power washing
• Follow facility cleanliness and biosecurity standards
• Wear required PPE including scrubs, masks, gloves, and safety goggles
• Maintain accurate and consistent procedures for animal care support

Work Environment

• This is NOT a laboratory research or testing role
• Facility resembles a warehouse/farm-style environment rather than a traditional lab
• Position includes extensive cleaning and sanitation responsibilities
• No personal items allowed in the facility, including cell phones or jewelry
• Air showers are utilized within the facility

Requirements

• Reliable transportation is REQUIRED due to remote location and lack of public transportation
• Ability to work in a physically active role
• Comfortable working around animals and performing cleaning tasks daily
• Dependable attendance and punctuality required
• Ability to follow strict procedures and workplace guidelines

Compensation:

• Pay Rate: $18/hr
• 6 month Contract to Hire
