Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under daily supervision of the PI, assist in the research by performing experiments and techniques that include molecular cloning, protein isolation and purification, in vitro transcription and purification of RNAs, setting up crystallization trials, and maintaining mammalian cell cultures. Assist in maintaining laboratory supplies, managing chemical, radioactive and medical wastes, arranging equipment maintenance/service and keep lab up to safety compliance.
Salary: $25.75 - $30.17 hourly

Required:
Skill to collect, process, and analyze experimental data.
Ability to problem solve, work independently and as part of a team.
Working knowledge and experience in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology.
Skill to maintain accurate scientific records. Strong communication skills.
Perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities.
Experience in the University environment.
Ability to perform standard molecular biology and biochemical techniques.
Ability to make solutions and buffers as needed.
Previous experience in biochemistry/molecular biology laboratory
Preferred:
Analysis of LCMS data using Skyline
Strong interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in Science, basic Molecular Biology/Biochemistry knowledge.
