Lab Assistant III

Join Pride Health as a Lab Assistant III at Portland, OR! This is a 13 weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Role: Lab Assistant III

Location: Portland, OR 97232

Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40hours

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Highlights: $20-25/hour (Based on years of experience & education)

Key Responsibilities:

• Register and accurately enter patient and specimen information into laboratory systems.
• Receive, identify, and process laboratory specimens according to established procedures.
• Verify specimen information and ensure accuracy throughout the processing workflow.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning and sterilization.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment.
• Follow established laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
• Handle specimens carefully to maintain specimen integrity.
• Complete documentation and data-entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding specimen or processing issues.
• Support the laboratory team with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

• Previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience with specimen registration or specimen processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, cleaning, and sterilization procedures is beneficial.
• Healthcare or clinical laboratory experience is advantageous.

Note: Local candidates within 20-25 miles are eligible.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
