Description Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. As an SSL Lab Engineer at SEA99, you will troubleshoot complex technical issues, implement safety protocols, drive process improvements, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure lab operations meet quality standards and safety requirements. This person will work Tuesday Through Saturday 3p-1:30a Key job responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the SSL lab environment Develop and maintain SOPs for lab operations and equipment Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety standards Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce errors Conduct root cause analysis for lab incidents and implement corrective actions Collaborate with engineering teams to validate new hardware and software solutions Train team members on proper lab procedures and safety protocols Document technical issues, resolutions, and process changes A day in the life Laboratory setting with specialized test equipment May require occasional extended hours to complete critical test campaigns Collaborative team environment focused on product quality and reliability Basic Qualifications - Experience planning and maintaining lab facilities for optimal efficiency and creating new processes when necessary - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field - 1+ years of experience in a technical lab environment - Experience writing and implementing SOPs - Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements - Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Experience with process improvement methodologies Preferred Qualifications - Experience with lab equipment calibration and maintenance - Knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking concepts - Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies - Experience with data analysis and reporting - Background in continuous improvement frameworks (Six Sigma, Lean) - Strong technical writing skills Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
