Lab/Engineering Technician

Location: 9514 Towne Centre Drive, San Diego, CA

Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Lab/Engineering Technician. This role is 100% onsite, requiring a commitment of 5 days a week at our San Diego location. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting our lab operations and engineering projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with RF lab equipment and ability to build test setups based on instructions
• Experience in rack assembly following detailed instructions
• Proficiency in soldering rework of existing boards with 0201 components; RF experience is necessary
• Ability to handle and arrange lab inventory, including heavy machines, soldering stations, setups, and cables
• General lab support experience
• Prior work experience in a similar industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on a W2 basis

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Additional RF engineering experience
• Experience with advanced soldering techniques
• Proficiency in using lab management software

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Build and maintain test setups in the lab
• Assist in the assembly and maintenance of equipment racks
• Perform soldering rework and repairs on circuit boards
• Manage and organize lab inventory, ensuring efficient workflow
