Title: Lab Medical Assistant IV - Tech Assistant POC

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates leadership qualities amongst other Lab Medical Assistants through communication, education and mentoring.
  • Promotes coordination of the team.
  • Provides advanced support to technical staff within laboratory departments by performing manual pretesting procedures, including waived testing as required.
  • Assists with specimen handling and preparation, and contributes to efficient lab operations through technical and administrative support.
  • Demonstrates a high level of competency and autonomy in laboratory tasks.

Experience

  • Experience in a related field required

Education

  • Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Preferred:
  • Technical program completion or degree
  • Associate's Degree
  • Education specialization in Science

Licensure/Certification

Required (if applicable):

  • Valid Driver's License
  • One of the following phlebotomy certifications:
  • ASPT (American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians)
  • ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
  • AMT (American Medical Technologists)

Status: Part-Time

Shift Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Weekend Work: None
