Role Summary

Our client, a nationally recognized, award-winning healthcare system, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) to join its clinical laboratory team. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests that support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease while maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex clinical laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis and treatment
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment according to established procedures
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting of laboratory results
  • Adhere to laboratory quality assurance, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with quality control procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care
  • Contribute to a fast-paced laboratory environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist program
  • Current MLT (ASCP), MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), or equivalent certification
  • Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and testing methodologies
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Blood Bank experience
  • Previous experience in a high-volume clinical laboratory
  • New graduates who completed clinical rotations in a high-volume laboratory setting are encouraged to apply

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time position (36 hours per week)
  • Two openings available
  • Day Shift: Variable schedule
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Hourly pay ranging from $23.50 to $38.90, based on education (MLT vs. MT) and experience
  • Shift differentials available for evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates
