    Responsibilities

    Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety protocols.

    Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling and documentation in accordance with quality standards.

    Verify patient demographic information and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy.

    Maintain accurate records and documentation of performed procedures and patient information.

    Create a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, demonstrating excellent customer focus and communication skills.

    Follow policies and procedures related to safety, confidentiality, and infection control to ensure compliance and well-being for patients and staff.

    Perform duties independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple priorities in high-volume settings.

    Travel between multiple locations, including patient service centers and in-office phlebotomy sites, adapting to flexible scheduling needs, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

    Promote an organizational culture of process excellence, confidentiality, and exceptional patient service.

    Required Skills

    Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collection techniques.

    Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and build trust with patients.

    Proficiency in data entry and maintaining detailed records.

    Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on established procedures.

    Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license if travel is required.

    Additional Skills & Requirements

    High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

    Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington.

    1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

    Experience working in a Patient Service Center environment is highly preferred.

    Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, to meet staffing needs.

    Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to multiple locations and dynamic schedules.
