Laboratory Support
- Follow processes and work instructions provided by the Columbia Lab Services Manager.
- Perform routine laboratory cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Clean and maintain laboratory glassware, fermenters, and laboratory equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
Fermenter Maintenance
- Replace tubing, seals, and impellers as needed.
- Perform pressure relief valve testing and replacement.
- Calibrate laboratory probes.
- Assist with routine preventative maintenance of fermentation equipment.
- Glassware Maintenance
- Replace tubing and perform routine maintenance on laboratory glassware and related equipment.
Laboratory Operations Support
- Restock laboratory supplies and consumables.
- Clean and prepare glassware for laboratory use.
- Prepare stock media and laboratory solutions, including acids, bases, metals, and vitamins.
- Schedule and coordinate bulk autoclave cycles.
- Assist with ordering laboratory consumables and supplies.
- Perform additional laboratory support duties as assigned.
dsm-firmenich is seeking a dependable Lab Support Technician to provide laboratory support services in a fast-paced research environment. This role is responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing supplies, supporting fermentation operations, and ensuring the lab remains clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Which days is TBD, Hours are also slightly flexible after training.)
Duration: 1-Year Contract
Pay Rate: $23.00–$25.00 per hour
