Now Hiring: Harvest Lab Intern
A reputable Paso Robles winery is seeking a motivated Harvest Lab Intern to join their team for the upcoming harvest season. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in both the laboratory and production sides of the wine industry while working alongside an experienced winemaking team.
Whether youre pursuing a career in enology, viticulture, food science, chemistry, or simply looking to gain valuable winery experience, this role offers exposure to all aspects of the harvest process.
Schedule:
Flexible start times between 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
8-hour shifts with overtime opportunities during peak harvest.
Pay:
Starting at $17-19/hour, depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Interest in winemaking, enology, viticulture, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced harvest environment.
Ability to work early mornings, overtime, and weekends as needed.
Previous winery, laboratory, or harvest experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect juice and wine samples from fermentation tanks and wine vessels using proper sampling techniques.
Perform routine harvest juice and wine analyses using advanced laboratory equipment and automated instrumentation.
Accurately record and enter laboratory and production data.
Assist with grape receiving, crushing, pressing, and fermentation operations.
Support cellar activities including pump-overs, punch-downs, tank monitoring, and sanitation.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory and winery environment.
