Job Title: Lab Tech - II
Location: Millsboro, DE 19966
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Pay Rate: $26.38/Hr on W2

Shift: 1st Shift 

(Job Description)
 
Qualifications:
Environmental Working Conditions
• Indoor/Outdoor work which includes varying temperatures, entering coolers and freezers
• Majority of time is spent standing, walking, pushing, pulling and lifting
• Required to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required per Safety Policy | Examples of required PPE are: safety glasses, safety shoes, LN gear, face shield, apron, gloves

Education
• Required | High School Diploma or equivalent with three years laboratory experience
• Preferred | Bachelor's degree in science discipline
Responsibilities

• Maintains reagents, supplies, and calibrated equipment
• Prepare reagents and materials
• Reviews data
• Calculating results
• Maintains the cleanliness of the lab
• Communicates schedule, tests status, and concerns clearly and accurately
• Write Laboratory Investigations, as needed.
• Revise Pre-existing Standard Methods and SOPs
• Trains others on methods & procedures

• Good Documentation Practices
• Pipetting
• Weighing
• Troubleshoot / Problem solving beyond method defined action
• Good Communication
• Familiar with good laboratory techniques
• Familiar with the use of autoclaves
