Covia is looking for a dynamic Lab Technician for 2nd Shift who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Technisand Wedron location in Wedron, IL

The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities: 

  • Obtaining and preparing product samples for analysis and storage
  • Conducting various tests according to established laboratory procedures
  • Utilizing various computer applications to compile, record and report test results
  • Performing general housekeeping within the laboratory
  • Following Covia, MSHA and OSHA safety standards at all times
  • Working in a physically demanding work environment

 

 

The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Physical and chemical laboratory testing procedures
  • Microsoft Office and various other computer applications
  • Basic mathematics, statistical analysis, and particle size distributions
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
