Performs basic to moderately complex set-up and tear down activities of large water-cooled chillers.Role Purpose:* Connect and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems on Charlotte manufactured equipment.* Operates, inspects and maintains test setups and equipment to detect malfunctions* Familiarity with electrical work, including 460-3-60 machinery and medium voltage industrial power supplies.* Familiarity with HVAC operation, refrigerant handling, and EPA certification is a plus* Experience with pumps, VFDs, boilers, is a plus* LO/TO controls troubleshooting and Arc Flash training is helpful* Works under moderate supervision to support engineering testing of chillers.* Familiarity with industrial toolsRequired Qualifications:* High School Diploma or GED* Strong mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting background, and be mechanically inclined* 3+ years of experience with hand/pneumatic tools* Mechanical skills* Moving/lifting weights up to 35 lbsPreferred Qualifications:* Experience with HVAC or other large commercial equipment* Commercial HVAC Industrial or operation experience preferred* Experience with Instrumentation set up, troubleshooting and calibration* Set-up of laboratory equipment with pressure, temperature, and electrical measurements is very important* Strong PC skills* Experience or familiarity with forklift and overhead crane operation preferred* Reading and interpreting complex drawings, schematics, and blueprintsBelcan is an equal opportunity employer.
