
LAB TECHNICIAN – ARCHITECTURE LABS POOLPosting Number : PT3144Department : Architecture/Drafting TechnologyPosition Type : Non-ExemptEmployment Status : Part-TimeSalary : $13.00 per hourOpen Date : 11/14/2025Position SummaryThe purpose of this position is to set up and print various projects on the 3D printers, laser cutters, and other architectural modeling technology and assist the Architecture Shop Manager in setting up, cleaning, and monitoring the Wood and Metals Shops.ResponsibilitiesReceive, set up, and print student files for 3D printing, laser cutters, and other architectural modeling technology and assist students with various projects in the Wood and Metals Shops.Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the labs/shops. Adhere to and assist in developing lab/shop policies and procedures. Maintain entry logs and consumable supply inventory.Provide support to faculty and staff. Must be available to work evenings and weekends in addition to regular business hours as necessary.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalency.One (1) year of related experience.Required Job Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesProfessional verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain and assist in the development of lab/shop policies and procedures.Knowledge of 3D printing technology.Knowledge of various CADD and 3D modeling software.Knowledge of plotters and printers and/or basic shop safety practices and construction technologies.Knowledge of various hand tools and power tools.Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree in a related field.Special Instructions to ApplicantsThis is a security-sensitive position.
