We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Molecular Biologist to join our growing research team in New Haven, CT. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research focused on understanding complex biological systems, disease mechanisms, and the development of next-generation therapeutic strategies.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on scientist with a strong foundation in molecular biology techniques, genomic analysis, and experimental design. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers while utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), to drive scientific discovery and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, plan, and execute experiments investigating gene expression, protein function, and cellular pathways.
Perform molecular biology techniques including:
PCR, RT-PCR, and qPCR
Molecular cloning
DNA/RNA extraction and purification
Restriction enzyme digestion
Gel electrophoresis
cDNA synthesis and library preparation
Conduct and support Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows, including sample preparation, sequencing analysis, and interpretation of genomic data.
Analyze, interpret, and present complex experimental results using statistical and bioinformatics tools.
Troubleshoot experimental challenges and optimize laboratory protocols to improve efficiency and data quality.
Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in accordance with regulatory and safety requirements.
Collaborate closely with scientists across multiple disciplines to support research objectives and project milestones.
Contribute to scientific publications, technical reports, grant applications, and conference presentations.
Mentor and train junior scientists, research associates, and students on laboratory techniques and best practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
