My client is seeking a motivated and hands-on Lab Technician to support our product development team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is looking to build a long-term future in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and beverage industry.

Description
- Prepare product samples and formulations according to established specifications and procedures.
- Support bench-top development work, including weighing, mixing, measuring, and scaling formulations.
- Perform basic calculations related to formulation adjustments and batch scaling.
- Maintain accurate records of formulations, testing results, observations, and project activities.
- Organize and maintain laboratory materials, ingredients, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist with product development trials and support ongoing R&D projects.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Work closely with laboratory leadership and product developers to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
- Demonstrate initiative by identifying tasks that need attention and taking ownership of responsibilities.
Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
- Basic laboratory or bench-top experience through education, internships, research projects, or professional experience.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to perform formulation and scaling calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Excellent work ethic and reliability.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six months to two years of laboratory, food, beverage, or product development experience.
- Experience performing bench-top formulations or sample preparation.
- Exposure to consumer-packaged goods (CPG), food, beverage, flavor, or ingredient industries.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to identify and complete tasks without constant direction.
- Strong self-awareness, confidence, and willingness to learn.
