Lab Technician

Working Schedule: Off shift; Swing or 3rd most likely

Swing: Monday 7AM-3PM, Tuesday 11PM-7AM, Wednesday 11PM-7AM, Thursday 3PM-11PM, Friday 3PM-11PM

3rd Shift: Monday 11PM-7AM, OFF Tuesday/Wednesday, Thursday- Friday 11PM-7AM, Saturday 11PM-11AM, Sunday 11PM-7AM

About the Role

We are seeking a Lab Technician to join our Quality team. In this role, you will help ensure product quality and food safety by performing laboratory testing on in-process and finished products. This position requires attention to detail, accurate data entry, and the ability to follow established procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory tests on products and samples.
  • Record and enter test results accurately into company systems.
  • Follow GMP, GLP, HACCP, and other quality standards.
  • Receive, label, store, and manage samples properly.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Identify and report quality issues or unusual test results.
  • Maintain testing supplies and communicate inventory needs.
  • Work closely with Quality, Production, and other departments.
  • Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Analytical laboratory experience.
  • Experience working in a quality, food production, or manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

This role requires working off-shift hours, including evenings, overnight shifts, and rotating schedules. The position is based in a laboratory setting within a manufacturing facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
