Job Description

Join our team as a Laboratory Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products. You will be responsible for verifying the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing products using established methods. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainability-focused work that supports critical industries such as chemical processing, food and beverage, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Verify the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing products using established methods.
• Prepare laboratory reagents and maintain appropriate holding areas for retain samples.
• Enter test data into SAP or LIMS systems.
• File vendor certifications and raw materials and production inspections.
• Participate in general housekeeping, including routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Essential Skills

• Experience in Chemistry, Laboratory, Biology, Quality Assurance, Wet Chemistry, and Titration.
• 0-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor"s Degree preferred in Chemistry, but Biology or Physics will be considered.
• Proficiency in pH, FTIR, Viscosity, and Quality Control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with titrations, pH, BF Viscosity, Specific Gravity, and FTIR.

Work Environment

Located in Chicago, the facility operates as a Nalco Company branch focused on industrial chemicals, water treatment, and process improvement solutions. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 10 PM to 6:30 AM. The facility offers hands-on experience, opportunities for growth, and the chance to be part of a company known for its expertise and commitment to helping customers operate safely and efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
