Description
The Lab Technician in Coating Operations plays a critical role in monitoring and adjusting Phosphate, Anodize, and Chrome plating processes. In addition to learning other roles in the Coating department. This position ensures that these plating processes are conducted accurately and efficiently, supporting Quality with the NADCAP standards and Operations in the production schedule.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum experience in the following areas:
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate information with managers and other employees, both orally and in writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as rate, ratio, interest, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, flying metal burrs and chips, and possible chemical irritants such as water-based coolants, hydraulic oils, de-greasing soap, and mineral spirits. The employee is occasionally exposed to uncomfortable colds or heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
