Job Title: Lab Technician 
Location: Greensboro, NC
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire



Position Overview:
 Graham Personnel Services is seeking a Lab Technician for our client in Greensboro. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in customer service, a medical setting, and administrative support. You will play a key role in supporting daily operations at a collection site by assisting clients, performing specimen collections, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.



Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:
  • Provide excellent customer service by handling incoming calls, answering inquiries, and scheduling appointments using established scripts.
  • Conduct outbound follow-up and service promotion calls.
  • Maintain professional, customer-focused experience for all clients.

Medical Setting Responsibilities:
  • Perform certified specimen collections (urine, alcohol, saliva, fingernail, hair follicle, and DNA).
  • Conduct on-site and post-accident testing using rapid screening devices.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling biological specimens and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Administrative & Office Support:
  • Complete chain of custody documentation and ensure accuracy in all records.
  • Package specimens and coordinate shipment through approved couriers.
  • Collect payments and complete required forms.
  • Report test results according to established protocols.
  • Maintain client records, logs, and testing files.
  • Monitor inventory and restock testing supplies as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform both on-site and off-site collections at client locations.
  • Participate in after-hours and on-call testing 2–3 times per week based on business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Experience working in a medical setting or healthcare-related environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email) and web-based systems.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in administrative documentation.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical tasks.
  • Comfortable working with biological specimens and cleaning solutions.
