Position Overview:
Graham Personnel Services is seeking a Lab Technician for our client in Greensboro. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in customer service, a medical setting, and administrative support. You will play a key role in supporting daily operations at a collection site by assisting clients, performing specimen collections, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by handling incoming calls, answering inquiries, and scheduling appointments using established scripts.
- Conduct outbound follow-up and service promotion calls.
- Maintain professional, customer-focused experience for all clients.
Medical Setting Responsibilities:
- Perform certified specimen collections (urine, alcohol, saliva, fingernail, hair follicle, and DNA).
- Conduct on-site and post-accident testing using rapid screening devices.
- Follow proper procedures for handling biological specimens and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Administrative & Office Support:
- Complete chain of custody documentation and ensure accuracy in all records.
- Package specimens and coordinate shipment through approved couriers.
- Collect payments and complete required forms.
- Report test results according to established protocols.
- Maintain client records, logs, and testing files.
- Monitor inventory and restock testing supplies as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform both on-site and off-site collections at client locations.
- Participate in after-hours and on-call testing 2–3 times per week based on business needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Experience working in a medical setting or healthcare-related environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email) and web-based systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in administrative documentation.
- High School Diploma required.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical tasks.
- Comfortable working with biological specimens and cleaning solutions.
