This position supports daily operations at a collection site by providing excellent customer service, handling client communications, performing specimen collections and testing, and reporting results. The role requires regular computer use, attention to detail, and flexibility to support after-hours and on-call testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls and customer inquiries, using established scripts to schedule appointments and promote services.
- Conduct outbound sales and follow-up calls.
- Perform certified specimen collections, including urine, alcohol, saliva, fingernail, hair follicle, and DNA samples.
- Conduct on-site and post-accident testing using rapid screening devices.
- Complete chain of custody documentation, package specimens, and arrange shipment via approved couriers.
- Collect client payments and accurately complete required forms.
- Report test results according to established protocols.
- Maintain client records, telephone logs, and testing files.
- Monitor inventory of testing supplies.
- Perform on-site and off-site (customer location) collections as needed.
- Participate in after-hours and on-call testing 2–3 times per week, based on business needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow phone scripts and provide professional customer service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and web-based applications.
- High attention to detail and ability to accurately complete documentation.
- High School Diploma required; additional education is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with specimen collection.
- Comfortable with regular exposure to biological specimens and cleaning solutions.
