Our client, an industry leader in renewable fuels research and development, is seeking a Lab Technician I to join their team. As a Lab Technician I, you will be part of the Renewable Fuels team supporting experimental research and development activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $26.46
Shift: 9/80 shift
What's the Job?
- Maintain a safe and well-organized laboratory environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Operate bench scale units for catalyst or process testing, including handling elevated temperature and pressure conditions.
- Handle and prepare potentially toxic substances and a variety of renewable and petroleum-derived materials.
- Perform laboratory activities such as blending, filtration, rotavap, sieving, grinding, and wet chemistry techniques.
- Assist in catalyst synthesis work under the guidance of senior scientists and engineers.
What's Needed?
- B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in an industrial research environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to wear a respirator for chemical and catalyst handling.
- Strong laboratory skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and modification.
