We provide quality resources in four specialty areas: Information Technology (IT), Clinical Research, Rehabilitation Therapy and Nursing.Job DescriptionJob title: Lab Technician ILocation: Santa Ana, CA Duration: 6+ months (Possibilities of extension) Local candidate neededPOSITION DESCRIPTION: The lab technician will performs routine duties of limited scope in a technical / lab area according to prescribed procedures, standard operating procedures, standards or ensure good laboratory practices.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintenance of general laboratory supply; such as media inventory.Maintenance of laboratory equipment required to perform assigned tasks from various sources in work area.Maintenance of laboratory area to ensure cleanliness of workbenches, incubators, and testing hoods.Prepare media and reagents which are used for testing.Complete appropriate paperwork required to document work per good documentation practices and good laboratory practices.Perform media growth promotion, maintenance of microorganisms used for growth promotion, and test sample collection critical systems (for example, RODI and solution systems)Performs other duties as assigned (for example maintenance of temperature monitoring systems)QualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this position, the following basic qualifications must be evident on your resume.REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school education or equivalent. Preferred: B.S. in Microbiology or other sciencesREQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 1+ year experience in laboratory settingDESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Strong cGMP skills and knowledge of good documentation practices1+ year experience in laboratory within the medical device or pharmaceutical industryGood written and verbal communication skills, communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingProficient in Math skills, especially in Microbiology/Sterilization Science math formulas and calculationsComputer literate with focus Excel and WordKnowledge of good laboratory practices and safetyDemonstrate good documentation practices.We do have referral bonus of $500 per candidate, if you refer any of your friends or colleague who are looking out for the same job.
